現地時間2月12日にロサンゼルスのステイプルズ・センターで第59回グラミー賞授賞式が開催された。今回はBeyoncéが主要3部門を含む最多の9部門でノミネート、続いてDrake、Rihanna、Kanye Westが8部門、Best New Artist（最優秀新人賞）を含む7部門では期待の若手ラッパー/シンガーのChance The Rapperがノミネートを受けていた。
結果、Record Of The Year（最優秀レコード賞）、Album Of The Year（最優秀アルバム賞）、Song Of The Year（最優秀楽曲賞）の主要3部門を含む5部門のノミネートを受けていたAdeleが5部門全てを受賞。また5部門ノミネートを受けていた故David Bowieも5部門全てを受賞するなどAdeleと並んで最多の受賞となっている。
